Up To Date is most recognizable as the fan-favorite album cover design, but the music contained within is a far cry from the image. The great Gerry Goffin (Goffin & King) contributes 3 songs to this album including the third top ten hit for the family, “I’ll Meet You Halfway.” David Cassidy recalls his humble reaction when Goffin gave him the song to sing: “You wrote this song….for ME??” The album is ablaze with good music. “Doesn’t Somebody Want To Be Wanted” became the second single shortly before the album was released and rocked up the charts to No. 1 in Cash Box and Record World. “I’ll Leave Myself A Little Time,” “I’m Here, You’re Here,” and “Umbrella Man” are all fondly remembered from the show and featured on this album which was the highest charting album of them all, reaching No. 3 on Billboard and staying on the charts for over a year.

The inner sleeve was simply a typical white sleeve, now yellowed over time due to acid deterioration, and we have replaced that sleeve with a white, acid-free sleeve lined with a protective poly liner—the highest quality available in restoration. This album originally contained a book cover with images of Cassidy and the family, and we have included here especially for the collector in you! Finally, we have packaged the album in a crystal clear polypropylene, acid-free, re-sealable outer sleeve with a custom, “When We’re Singin’” hype sticker!
